The World Affairs Council of St. Louis is excited to announce that its 24th Annual Chinese New Year Celebration will be held Friday, February 6, 2015, at the St. Louis Ritz Carlton Ballroom. The proceeds of this, our only fundraiser, are used to sponsor our community service activities. The greater St. Louis community has come to rely upon the Council for these activities that have three things in common. One, they are free of charge to the participants; two, they are made possible by your support of this “Year of the Sheep” celebration, and three, they bring international experiences and awareness to a large cross-section of people living in our area.

Whether you were born under the Chinese Zodiac sign of the boar, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, rooster, dog or boar come celebrate Chinese New Year with us annually (every February) and let the Zodiac sign positively influence your disposition for the year!

Our Chinese New Year celebration attracts about 275 people a year and features an exceptional Chinese banquet, interesting and varied reception activities (many are new!), impressive entertainment, multiple raffles with substantive prizes, and an oral auction conducted by a professional auctioneer. Guests, from all segments of our society, return year after year to enjoy an evening celebrating the Chinese culture. You are invited to join the celebration.

If you wish to join us in this celebration, please print and fill out the reply card at this link and mail it to the address at the bottom of this page!
