Then join us for a scrumptious meal of mouthwatering Chinese delicacies as you imagine dining in Kowloon, in Shanghai or on a cruise through the Three Gorges Dam. What a wonderful life it is that allows us to learn and share cultural treasures and habits around the world and especially with China, the up and coming world power nation experimenting with free market strategies.

For more than 18 years, the World Affairs Council (WAC) of St. Louis- an internationally educating non-profit- has sponsored an annual fundraiser that celebrates the arrival of the Chinese New Year. Net proceeds from the event are used to sponsor the array of outreach activities highlighted on the home page. WAC outreach activities benefit students at all metropolitan St. Louis schools as well as students of international affairs of all ages. Our activities cover the “waterfront” of educational exploratory interests.

Part of the fundraising fun is a raffle and a silent auction. If you have items of value that you are willing to donate, here is your chance to make it count toward international tolerance education and experience. Gifts can be gift certificates, dinner, theater or sporting event tickets, sports memorabilia or other collectors’ items, gift baskets, weekend use of your cabin, antiques, works of art of all levels of talent, a weekend at a B&B or bottles of wine, silver, crystal, home decorating items, a free service, flight coupons or cash donations.
